Odoo Integration

The Odoo integration imports product data, categories, and attachments from Odoo into Provenant. After you map your categories and fields, products sync automatically once a day.

Before you start

From your Odoo instance you need:

  • The Server URL of your Odoo instance (for example, https://mycompany.odoo.com).
  • An API Key. In Odoo, go to Settings › Permissions › Manage API Keys.
  • The Database name, only if one domain serves more than one database.

Enable the integration

  1. In Provenant, open Settings › Integrations and click Odoo.
  2. On the General tab, open Connection.
  3. Enter the Server URL, the API Key, and (optionally) the Database.
  4. Select a Sync Mode:
    • Create only – Import new products. Products that are already imported never change.
    • Extended – Import new products and keep imported products in sync with Odoo.
  5. Click Save.

Provenant checks the connection when you save. The Health Check panel shows the status, a message, and the time of the last check.

tip

When you change the sync mode, the next sync reads every mapped category again. If you switch to Extended, the sync overwrites manual edits that you made while on Create only.

Map Odoo to your DPP templates

On the Mapping tab, each row is an Odoo category. For each category that you want to import:

  1. Select the Provenant Family.
  2. Select the Provenant Template to use for products in this category.
  3. Click Map Attributes, and then match each Provenant field with an Odoo field.
  4. Click Save.

Odoo categories that you do not map are not imported.

Run a sync

Products sync automatically once a day. To start a sync now, click Sync Now. You must map at least one category and its fields first.

Review synced products

The Products tab lists every product imported from Odoo, with its Odoo ID, family, template, status, alignment, and sync state. The Sync column shows one of these states:

  • Synced – The product updates from Odoo on every sync, within the rules of the sync mode.
  • Moved – Odoo moved the product to another category. The product no longer updates until you resolve it.
  • Unlinked – The product was deleted in Odoo. It stays in Provenant with its DPP, but it no longer syncs.
  • Paused – The Odoo category of the product is not mapped to a template. Map the category again to resume.

Resolve products

When Odoo moves a product to another category, or a category gets a different template, the product appears in Products to Resolve. For each product, you can:

  • Move it to the new template.
  • Stop syncing it. The product stays as it is and keeps its DPP, but Odoo never updates it again.

Product Errors in Last Sync and Category Errors in Last Sync open the Sync Errors dialog. This dialog shows the problems of the latest sync run.

Manage the integration

Open Actions in the page header and select Disable Integration to stop the integration. Your configuration is kept, and you can enable the integration again later.
